Automotive antiques: A restoration guide

Why in there right mind would anyone want to buy an old car. They usually require lots of money to get the car into even a drivable, usable condition. Once the car is drivable then you could still have a need to have body work or rust repair to be done to the car. With body work completed there is still a desire for a nice shiny coat of paint.

OK so you don't have lots of money but you really want to buy that old car. I love the old cars because to me they are just cool. There is no reason to be in a hurry to make that old car into a new sharp car. Take your time , do research to find out as much about the kind of car you want to buy, check out where you can find the most inexpensive parts and so on. So why do you want to go through all this. If you are like me and do not have the money to buy one of these cars all ready to drive and restored then this is the way to go. Amaze your friends with your new found ride.

So what kind of car do you like, Ford?, Chevy? Dodge? Me I prefer the Chevy, mainly because the parts for these cars are easier to find, easily transferable from one car to another in most cases, and most of all the most inexpensive parts on the market.

So what is it you want to do with your old car? Make a show car? Build a drag car?
Make it into a stock car? The choice is yours, but remember to have fun no matter what your choice.
