Interesting vacation locations in the United States

If you have ever wondered what the eastern US has to offer, then look no further. There is beauty beyond the imagination all around you. There are beaches and sunsets, parks and amusement parks, waterfalls and lakes. There is history and nostalgia. You just have to know where to find it. There is a place to go with something to do and see for every season.
If you like the colder temperatures and the snow then Michigan or New York state in winter might be the place for you. Both have much to offer in any season, you can find beautiful beaches, ski lodges, small lakes, large lakes, fishing, light houses amusement parks, inns, casino's and much more.



The Lake Michigan coastline offers beautiful sunsets, sandy beaches and sand dunes. With a scenic drive up the lake Michigan coastline you could visit places like New Buffalo, Holland, Muskeegan, Manistee, Traverse City where you can visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake-shore or maybe The wondrous beauty of the evening lights on the Mackinaw Bridge would appeal to your tastes. While visiting this area you can take a ferry boat across to Mackinaw Island or cross the bridge into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and visit the Sault St Marie Locks and the many fudge shops, or the Indian reservation casinos.

If you make this trip in the early fall you will experience some of the most beautiful color changes the season has to offer, just be prepared for the weather changes that often occur in the north.

Cleveland Ohio offers The Rock and Roll hall of fame, Sea World the home complete with the leg lamp from the movie A Christmas Story. Columbus Ohio on the Fourth of July has a huge festival and some of the best fireworks in the country. You can also find fun on the Lake Erie coast at Cedar Point amusement park.

New York State has some of the most beautiful landscapes with rolling mountains and rapid rivers. You can visit Niagara Falls, Lake Placid or Lake Champlain. You can find historical towns just off the highway that will take you back in time. There is a small historical town just off highway interstate 86 called Angelica that would take anyone back in time a few years. You will discover what nature has to offer from the mountains to the beaches of the east coast.

Take a drive down the New England coastline and you will see breathtaking sunrises and fishing boats to die for alongside some of the most historical lighthouses in America.
