Mice are some of the sneakiest rodents that I have ever seen in my life. When they break into to houses, they tend to destroy valuable objects, and items. To start a clean house is something that mice seem to avoid. Mice like to dwell in filthy homes were they can make nest, babies and hide out.

A very good way I found to eliminate mice is to clean up your house very well. Mice are attracted to cakes and sweet foods. So after you clean up set up mice traps in corners and around the edges of the house. Load the traps up with pieces of cake. Take out the trash and make your house seem spotless. Clean your house so the cake will be the only smell that lingers in the air. After you eliminate a couple of mice find the entrances that they are using to enter your home. Purchase flat pieces of steel. Use this to keep them out I would consider buying the write pieces so that it will fit in the entrances. Keep all food stored away in plastic containers.

Getting rid of mice is a decision that you have to make depending on whether you want to kill them or catch and release them. There are traps that are designed for catch and release. You can also use poison, I don't consider this as being a good option because the mice can die and you might not be able to find where they are located. Using poison hazardous amongst children, because the may ingest the poison and it can cause problems. Leaving mice dead inside your wall or your attic leaving will leave an odor that will reek for months. This might attract other rodents to that smell that could cause a big problem. So use the traps so you can find them dead in the traps so you will be able to expose them.

Remember mice like to creep around in the house when there is less noise, usually when everyone is sleeping. Another option is buy a cat and let it dwell in the remains of your home. This will kill the mice or they will be scared away from the cat sniffing them out.

If not the only other option to do is to call exterminator if you think these suggestions will be a problem. Remember mice can go any where or get into anything. They can crawl up to the highest floor in apartment complex through the walls. So the best thing to do is to keep your house clean, be patient and wait for the traps to catch them.
