The life I lived should never have been
What you did you know was a sin
As a child I knew not then
As a child I hated you within
You tried to extinguish the fire in me
With threats of violence no one would see
Yet here I am and I am free
And you now mean nothing to me
My fire is bright and I strong
And guess what I got along
My soul intack my mind is great
and for you I no longer hate
A pathetic excuse you have become
Your entire life a zero sum
And now your old and they treat you bad
Oh well you reap what you sowed you crappy dad

Poetry: Scars
There are marks upon my skin,
Pale reminders of days gone by.
The bleeding was staunched long ago,
But to claim they no longer
These scars that crease my heart
are a gift from your callous part.
The age of innocence has passed away
and only dreams
The scars of my heart run deep
I have never healed from you
you are the reason for my being the reason for me to breath

Others recall the fun and games,
I recall the scars.

You're under my skin, buried deep
