Many people assume that vegetarians don't get enough protein, or fat in their diet. This is a complete misconception! As a vegetarian for six years myself, I know that you can acquire daily doses of all vitamins and minerals through a plant based diet.
That being said, most people also assume that a pregnant woman who is also a vegetarian is going to need extra assistance dealing with nutritional needs. This is also very far from the truth (giving that she knows what a good vegetarian diet is, and doesn't think it's Oreos and peanut butter!)
A pregnant woman who is a vegetarian, or vegan for that matter, just needs to eat a lot of dark leafy greens, legumes, citrus, and other vitamin packed foods (usually already eaten regularly) with the added doses of black strap molasses, and olive oils for extra vitamin B6 through B12 and healthy fats.
