The five most hated players in the NFL

by Napoleon Broughton

Created on: October 03, 2009

Life is so simple, but some guys just make it so difficult. How hard is it to keep your head on straight when you are making millions of dollars? Apparently it's very difficult with this group. You guys are the select few tabbed as the most hated NFL football players. What a distinction! Who would want to be labeled as such? I hate to disappoint you guys, but accuracy is my middle name.

Terrell Owens: This guy could never be left off a list with this heading. His consistent shenanigans and team distractions generate publicity. Believe me, he is aware of this fact. This crude, arrogant, insensitive, fellow teammate cynic, statistic wise potential Hall of Fame football player, is a comical display. Take out an avoidance policy on this guy, and exercise your option not to buy. Common antics such as belittling teammates, blatant disregard and disrespect for coaches, and showcasing, give us more than enough reason to love to hate this guy. We love to hate you T.O, and you love yourself some you. Nothing else needs to be said.

Brett Favre: What does he want to do? I doubt if he knows. Brett Favre changes his mind quicker than a cat can lick his tail section. It's on again, and it's off again. I think I will play. I decided not to play. Every year Brett creates a circus and media frenzy which he obviously seems to be enjoying. This guy is by far the most accomplished player to make the list of most hated. Brett can still play the game at a high level. That's not the issue. The issue is that he consistently toys with the public and the media. It's apparently obvious that Brett Favre does not dislike being the beneficiary of the attention that he is receiving. The problem for America is that we are beginning to dislike and hate the fact that he does this year after year.

De Angelo Hall: The NFL needs more character guys. De Angelo Hall has shown that he does not fit that description. His forever lasting images are embedded to stay. You never berate a coach on the sideline in a disrespectful manner. Such behavior is totally unacceptable. De Angelo did just that during his tenure with the Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately, Bobby Petrino was the beneficiary of the outburst. Forget the talent. Forget De Angelo's pro bowl appearance. We can't forget the temper problems nor the fight picking scenarios. We will also never forget the sideline scene with Petrino who didn't say very much. For such a mistake, you are hated Mr. Hall.

Brandon Marshall: Do you know what you are getting?
