The times before never felt quite this bad

Although its something I've always wished i had

I've always wanted the caring and the love

And I've always watched people get what I've always dreamed of

And though it burned those times before

This time burns just a little bit more

I'm older now and soon it will be too late

To feel the butterflies inside or be kissed on the first date

I've listened to the love songs relentlessly 'til end

Waiting for someone so my unloved heart can mend

Love has everything to do with it and so much more

It really is the one thing i have always prayed for

I'm sitting here waiting for that extreme care and devotion

I'm sitting here longing for that second hand emotion
