There are many historical icons that have many mysteries surrounding their lives but the person I would be most anxious to interview would be, Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry the VIII.
It seems that everyone had the opportunity to voice their opinion about the scandals that surrounded her marriage with the King, except Anne herself. Historians did their best to uncover the truth about Anne Boleyn and the scandals, but does anyone really know for a fact what really happened all those years ago?
I've done much research on the history of Boleyn and everything that I came across was from someone else's prospective or opinion; nothing was evidence from Anne herself. So sitting down with Anne Boleyn for a complete hour would be an honor to me. Many people are flooded with the myths and lies about this miraculous woman who made history. It is well known that she had many enemies at court during her time with the king who were always trying to make her something horrible that she was not, eventually succeding in getting rid of her. This young woman was pushed by her father to win the king's affections and was practically forced to be a puppet of politics. The Boleyn ambition is a known fact in history but they were far from alone in this. Everyone who surrounded King Henry VIII was power hungry and desperate for favor. Anne was unfortunately dragged into this. Her sister, Mary, was the first attempt to win the kings favor but when she failed to keep his interest, the Boleyn's threw Anne the lion.
There are many questions that haven't been answered about all the rumors of Anne's involvement with witchcraft and plotting against His Majesty.
I would ask questions about these rumors and I would let her tell her side of the story, an opportunity that she never was given before her execution.
Some believe that Anne never really loved the king and was just another power hungry subject but others protest this claim including myself. There are always two sides to every story and one side has never been heard.
The answers that would get attained by this interview may not change the world but they would make a worlds difference in the English monarch history. All would know better about what really happened to this woman and what life was for the wife of a king who changed his whole kingdom to marry, then was coxed in every aspect that he had made a mistake marrying a plotting witch eventually beheading the woman of his heart.
