A gush of fresh air came along with the wind
And the limbs of the still green trees slowly bent
Allowing its vibrant leaves to signal the cusp of Autumn
A re-awakening of renewed abundance

The trees in the woods are standing tall.
The light shines among their brown branches.
A half fallen tree squeaks as it
Mute and uncomplaining autumn comes around,
Racing towards winters slippery snake heels,
When brown leaves fall to the shallow
