How to remove those dark circles under your eyes

Dark circles under the eyes are an extremely common and distressing issue. They affect your appearance to a great extent and make you look much older than your actual age. They are actually a fact of life and almost all of us face it in our lives at one time or other. Do not be frustrated and upset because of dark circles as they are an everyday problem. The good news is that treating dark circles is a feasible task as they can be addressed through diet and lifestyle changes. You can control them by vitamin supplementation or use simple natural remedies. Read on to learn how to get rid of the dark circles under the eyes. But before I discuss the remedies it is important to understand the common reasons for dark circles.

CAUSES OF DARK CIRCLES

Dark circles can appear due to lack of sleep, fatigue and dehydration or due to allergies, bad circulation, and exposure to the sun, or can be simply hereditary issues. They can also be because of ill health, kidney or stomach problems. Lack of nutrients, menstruation, pregnancy, rubbing the eyes, sinus problems, smoking, stress or weight lose are also some other common causes.

TREATMENT BY VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTATION

The vitamins that can help to reduce the occurrence of dark circles immensely are Vitamin K, A and C. Vitamin K is one of the best and successful remedy to get rid of dark circles under eyes. Vitamin K helps to diminish the appearance of the dark circles and reduces puffiness to a great deal. The best sources of Vitamin K are the green leafy vegetables particularly the dark green ones like spinach, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower etc. And fruits like Avocado and Kiwi are also a rich source of Vitamin K.

Vitamin A, Vitamin C and iron also help to fight against dark circles significantly. So next time you are in the super market make sure that you buy lots of green vegetables and fresh citrus fruits.

TREATMENT BY NATURAL REMEDIES

CUCUMBER/ POTATO - Apply cucumber juice or slice to your dark circles or apply a slice of potato to each eye, and let it be for about 10 minutes. They are very cooling and soothing and off course very effective to treat dark circles. If you are using juice prepare a mixture by adding equal quantity of potato and cucumber juices. Dip a cotton swab in this mixture and put the cotton on eyelids and keep for 20 minutes. Wash your eyes with cold water later.
