Poetry: True love

Questions for my true love

Would you love me if I said,

That I am sad because of you,

Would you stay with me regardless,

Or tell me that we're through.

I ask because the tears I cry,

Sometimes when I'm alone,

Are because of things you say to me,

About our life at home.

Would you hold me when I cry,

And say everything's ok,

Would you love me and stand by my side,

Until your dying day.

Would you hold my heart inside your hands,

Protect it from the rain,

And never give it back to me,

Even if I cause you pain.

Will you love me with your heart and soul,

Will you never say goodbye,

Will you give your heart in my heart's place,

And never tell me lies.

Would you hold me in your arms so tight,

I have to catch my breath,

And promise that you'll treat me right,

Until we've no life left.

Would you hold me when I cry,

And kiss all my tears away,

Would you be my love forevermore,

Until our dying day.

Would you stay with me eternally,

Would you promise to be mine,

Would you hold my love inside your heart,

Until the end of time.
