How to survive without a computer

by Robert Cramer

Created on: October 02, 2009

Internet, Email, YouTube, Google, Digg, Web Comics, Bioshock the list goes on. This is the day the computer ruled the planet. There is very little a computer with internet cannot provide you. You can read, write, watch, listen, play, learn, and teach. This list is nigh limitless. What happens though when your system is taken away? What if your internet is down or you are unable to use your computer for any reason? Some people just crawl up into a ball and hide in the corner, others run frantically down the street, clothes long gone, screaming and shouting at the top of their lungs until the local police kindly return the disturbed individual, or so I have heard anyways. There are other ways to cope though, now pull up a chair, open your eyes and pay attention and let me help you help yourself.

Heck, I hear these days they even come without cords and such. Oh science, what will you bring us next?

Ah so you are a gamer eh? I remember when I used to go outside and play all kinds of games, sports even. Too old to pretend or play with toys? Liar, you are never to old, don't forget that but if you insist that pretend and toys are not for you, why we still have many board games, hobbies, sports or God forbid reading a real life books. Ah yes, remember earlier on when I talked about that mystical pen and paper, someone has come up with this brilliant notion of taking many words which form a cognitive thought. Yes we call those books and you can pretty much find these "books" on any subject you can think of. Crazy I know.

What if I want to be taught something? That is an excellent question. Why there are several options. Remember those book things? Well those books are
