UNASKED QUESTION
After so much time spent at war
With one another, our neighbors,
With our enemies, our sisters,
Our brothers, our mothers,
Strangers with no names,
People with no faces;
After so much hatred has
Devoured our synonymous veins,
Thickened our hearts,
Stiffened our synapse,
Sullied our dreams,
Haunted our perceptions,
Our reasons,
Our excuses;
After the tears have etched age
Into our cheeks
And dried into deep,
Long lines of sorrow,
We question.

Poetry: Tell me why
Someone please tell me why we are who we are, why we wish upon stars, why we talk to our cars?
And someone please tell me
WHY?
Why can’t you just let things be?
Why won’t you open your eyes and see
That we’re not going to be together
THE NEXT DAY
Yesterday, was just
another day
in one of many
that I couldn't explain
I have no one else.
to blame
I Wonder...Why I Wonder Why
Tell me why I wonder why.
Tell me why we do this by and by.
What of this seeking to satisfy
our
You say you do not love me now,
but can not tell me why.
You will not tell me when or how
or what caused your love
