Lord,
Remind me
That I can't see that far.
Remind me again
Of floating, of freedom -
Even in the scary places!
Yes, I remember now:
The decision is the agony.
Suspended in "what if,"
Rehearsing disaster,
Measuring chance,
Assessing risk,
Shutting my eyes as tightly
As possible -
All the time not noticing that
I'm nestled in your wounded hand.
