Coaching baseball is an important sport to teach to children. First it has to be a good experience for the children. A good coach is a patient coach who holds a good characteristic of a role model to the team. A coach is someone who can show the children how to love and have fun with the sport that care and is eager to motivate children will be a phenomenal coach. Good coaches never show frustration around the players, remember they are only children, it will only scare them. With most children if they have a bad experience they would play another sport.

Importance of Team Improvement

Coaches have to show the children that baseball is an improvement process. Give them examples of life situation that they will have to improve on and relate it to baseball. Show them major league players and help them develop passions and dreams for the sport. Before every practice a good coach should discuss a part of history at least once a week. This is important for children to learn educationally while they grow into the sport. Later follow with batting, hand eye coordination, catching at a slow pace for two weeks. Consider using the slow motion method with batting and catching because it gives children the chance to catch on to playing the game quickly.

Important to Develop Rules

In actuality coaching baseball can be a stressful job if children are not learning anything. A coach has to develop a set of rules and discuss it with his players. Show them important things like sportsmanship because it will teach children respect and appreciation for the game. Explain to children what it means to give a team effort for team success. Sometimes a coach will have to help the children by giving them guidance and instruction because there will be times were children will come to the coach with questions. As coaches we have to come with the answers.

Importance of Children's Goals

In all it is so important that a good coach should treat baseball as a learning experience which will benefit the children. Coaching in this manner will allow children to learn to believe in themselves knowing they are capable of accomplishing many goals. A good coaching experience could have a positive impact on a child's life if planned out correctly. Tell them about the history of baseball and what it took for the Major League players to fight for the position on teams. Discuss the dreams that you had as a child while playing baseball because we will never know who will be the next Babe Ruth or Nolan Ryan because this is the importance.
