When it comes to sex, either the love or disdain of it, I can only speak for myself. In addition, I am a woman, so I can only represent a woman's view on possible reasons for tiring of sex. However, I'm pretty sure my points are valid, my argument is strong and my reasons are convincing. Consider these stunning facts, based on research conducted at the University of Indiana:
One in every two workers is a woman.
Four in every five mothers of school-age kids must work for pay.
One in every two people who work more than one job is a woman.
Seven in every ten married working mothers work more than 40 hours a week.

Twenty years ago, or even just fifteen years ago, the role of women was vastly different. Their main obligations resided within the home: Child-rearing and nurturing, food acquisition and meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, decorating, entertaining, etc. This was (and is) a full time job. When the women's lib movement kicked in, women were taking on more of the traditionally male-oriented jobs as well. Things like getting a job, mowing the lawn, painting the house, and paying the bills were added to her quiver of responsibilities. The balance between a man's obligations and a woman's was no longer equal, and getting less equal all the time.
If you're not exhausted simply from considering these facts, don't worry, there's more. In a December, 2006 Gallup Poll conducted on the lifestyles of married couples stated over half of married respondents say the wife is most likely to do six household chores: laundry, cleaning the house, making decisions about furniture and decoration, preparing meals, caring for the children (for couples with children under 18), and doing the grocery shopping. Respondents are also significantly more likely to say the wife, rather than the husband, washes dishes and pays the household bills.

Based on the aforementioned statistics, let's construct the day of a married woman, and mother of school age children:
6:00 a.m. Arise, start the coffee, stretch
6:30 a.m. Awaken her mate, and the children
6:40 a.m. Start breakfast while making lunches for children (and possibly mate)
6:45 a.m. Feed the troups
7:00 a.m. Help children dress, brush teeth, prepare for school
7:30 a.m. Kiss mate goodbye, see children off to school
7:35 a.m. Clean kitchen, shower, dress,
