For another year
The month of October
We hold dear
From tricks and treats
Sour and sweet
From Ghosts and Ghouls
To little red riding hood
Wizards and witches
Frankenstein with stitches
Cinderella and her glass slipper
Snow white in winter
Many Halloween costumes to choose from
Which one will you become
The choices are never ending
With options open to everyone

Halloween night evokes a distinct feeling,
vaguely serene blends itself with obscene.
Unseen screams reverberate off moonbeams.
Ghoulies and Goblins
And a ghost in a sheet
Meet one another out
There in the street.
Now here comes a witch
Riding
Moonlights edge rests on shoulders black,
Glowing masks lighting night shine bright,
Leering people pass causing fright,
Transformation,
once achieved,
if the guise is well-conceived,
let's the wearer of the costume
disappear.
