Working your way into a woman's heart starts by understanding who she is and what she wants. Understanding how she falls in love means embracing a process that began back when she was just a little girl. Every little girl cherishes a similar fantasy about a knight in shining armor she conceived during the many hours and days spent daydreaming about her wedding. The man she envisions spending her life with was created in the mind of child and molded in the eyes of an adult. A woman's idea of the perfect mate was etched in her heart long before you ever showed up. Once a man fully understands what's inside a woman's heart, he increases his odds of earning a spot in it.

Here are a few fundamentals to help catch the attention of the woman you admire while capturing her heart in the process.

HUMOR:

You'll find humor near the top of every woman's wish list. Women adore a man that not only makes her laugh, but keeps her laughing. Laughter makes every moment more memorable, so women naturally prefer to keep company with a great sense of humor. Each time she reflects back on a funny moment you give her a brand new smile. Life requires some silly time and women warm up quickly to the funny side of any situation. You might be surprised to learn that women will often pass on the eye candy falling for the cute clown instead. If you can bring the funnies, you'll almost always get the girl.

GOTTA HAVE A J-O-B:

The other most frequent list topper is a man with a decent job or the ability to get one. Selling steaks door to door or mattresses out of the back your pickup truck doesn't count. How much a man earns or his choice of profession isn't as important as having a respectable job and steady income. Little girls never dream of Prince Charming as jobless or homeless. Women are attracted to the idea of security, but not providing it. Women are generally compassionate and will likely understand a temporary situation if you recently lost your job. Having a job and supporting yourself should be the priority if you want a real shot at a lasting relationship.

KIND, HONEST & HUMBLE:

Men should never underestimate the intelligence of a woman as most women can see through phony lines and compliments. Women are drawn to the strength of men as protectors which is not the same as ego. No one wants to spend their time with a chronic showoff, know-it-all or braggart.
