The fall season offers an array of warm jeweled-tone colors. I suggest choosing a color that compliments your complexion. The warm colors of autumn are available to warm up any skin tone; colors are not just dominate in the summer months. As the season grows colder, the colors tend to warm up and become more vibrant.
A wedding is a festive event and if the color scheme is known to you, you may want to compliment the colors of the wedding with your attire. This will indeed make a lovely keepsake picture for the bride as a guest at her wedding. Sometime the color scheme is a surprise, so don't bother the bride or wedding planner if this information is not readily available to you.
The lavender's of the previous season are now replaced with royals and rich purples, such as eggplant and amethyst. The shocking reds are now even more vibran, offering us deep cherry reds and magenta's. Burgundy can be a color that offsets creams and silver jewelry. You may also consider what your date might be wearing to the wedding. I'm not suggesting a side show attire for the both of you . Staying in the complimentary mode of one another , will make each of you appealing and a stand out on your own.
I have never been a fan of green , yet in the fall , I take a fancy, to emerald greens. If you are a neutral color wearing woman. Autumn offers up warm sable browns, sienna brown and chestnut brown. These colors are not drab, yet remain in the neutral family with a hint of color in the undertones of brown. One more rule, for any wedding that takes place in October, please stay away from Orange and black combinations. It is tacky and will remind most people of Halloween.
Comfortable and stylish shoes are a must. Most women love high heels, but if you don't believe you will be comfortable, wear sensible ballet flats with embellishment at the toe to add pizazz and detail. Always remember , less is more. A wedding is a celebration and everyone wants to look festive. Most women have adapted the rule to never intentionally try to upstage the bride by wearing a formal white dress. It, once was a rule never to wear a black dress or suit to a wedding. That rule is obsolete, because every woman owns a little classic black dress to wear to any function. One more thing , be sure to wear your smile and well wishes for the bride. A pleasant personality is the most beautiful accessory. Leave that bag of cattiness at home.
The rule for attending a wedding anytime of year and especially in the fall is to stay away from garish colors, such as too much detail or sequins. Remember, you are not the main attraction. It is not your day. Yes, everyone wants to look nice and appealing, but allow the bride to beam and shine. It's really not about you, not that day anyway.
