If you are ever going to apply for a job, the most important thing that you are going to want to do is supply a good resume. The most important part of the resume is the objective that you put at the beginning of the resume. It states what you want to do, and what exactly you are looking for in a job. It helps you clarify what you are looking for, and it helps the employer figure out if you are going to be a good fit based on what you state as your job objective. What should you say if you are looking to be a manager?

There are many types of management jobs, so there are many types of management objectives that you might have. It really depends on what you are looking to do when it comes to what you are going to put on your resume as your objective. Do you want an entry level job? Have you managed before and are looking for a move up? Are you looking to be a sales manager, or a purchasing manager. There are tons of management jobs that you could have.

If you want to simply be an entry level manager, you are going to have an easy time writing your objective. All you need to do is simply state that you are looking for a management position at the entry level. As long as you have a degree, and some experience in your field, or leading people in general, you are going to have a good shot at getting the job.

If you want to be a purchasing manager, you are probably going to have to have a strong resume, and very detailed statement as your objective. Something you might want to say is, "I am looking for a buying position, specifically in the field of perishable groceries." This states that you are looking to be a buyer, and that you would like to be a buying manager in a dairy or produce department. This clarifies where you want to go.

If you want to be a sales manager, you might say something like this, "I am looking for a job as a sales manager, either direct sales, or business to business sales." This shows that you are looking for any sales management position, and this indicates that you either are looking to get your foot in the door, or maybe you are looking for a chance to show your leadership.

When you are writing an objective statement. you should write something clear, and concise. You should tell your prospective employer what you are looking for, and where you want to work. Hopefully you will follow that up with a resume that will back up the objective that you will provide. Good luck with your job search, and hopefully this offers a little guidance as to what you might want to put on your resume.
