If you went out today, and you asked one hundred people, what the laws of chivalry state? How many people would give you the right answer? I believe only twenty-five percent or less would be able to answer this question correctly. Chivalry is a base of moral codes that instillthe difference between right and wrong to men and women, but this belief, in many cases, has died, and with the death of chivalry comes the death of morals. America as a nation has fallen to the bottom of a pit based in unethical actions and unmoral decisions, but what have been the effects to our country?
The nation of America has fallen behind in the races of economy, politics, and morality, but all these tie in together to tell us one thing, that America is unmoral and at its base, evil. The fall of the economy has brought a new definition of struggle to the citizens of the US unlike any other besides that of the Great Depression. Crime is running rampant through the streets of the major and minor, and in the beginning of these crimes, you will find a need for money. Everyone needs money, and it is something that we cannot escape, but this need also brings people to desperate means.
As the citizens grow desperate, they get careless for their fellow man, and this is where homicide as well as theft comes into play. If we all kill and steal from each other, it does not help anyone, but it only further hurts us all. We all lose something, especially the victims, but in the end we are all victims of the desperation of the failing economy. As the morals of the people become fogged by their perception of the oncoming tragedy, they grow hungry for restitution, and they will not be stopped by any means. This leads us in a gigantic circle of horrendous confusion, that is fueled by a love and need for money.
Although the need for money may send the regular citizens into a fray, it often corrupts the leaders of the nation, and the blind are led by the blind. As politics continue, the players of the game become confused in their motives, and they change their perspective from the needs of the country to the needs of their own. As the politicians of our nation become morecorrupt, we have no choice but to continue backing our decision as they steal money from our own pockets. This great circle of theft and trickery leads us in a spiral of unmorality that is continuously breaking the foundation of our country.
As the morals of the country evaporate, so does the country itself, relying on the fuel of greed and desperation to keep the spiral heading downward. We as a nation have become corrupt, and the nation itself is falling. We must all look to ourselves, and we will see that the problem is not out in the world, but it has come home to your doorstep. Each day is a trial, and your peers are the jury, watching and judging your actions, so the only way to spread the need of morality in this country is to be an example to your fellow man.
