I'm walking away my friend
My heart is sobbing with love and care
I hear you bellow, pleading and begging
My heart wants to yell OK
I'll step in, but no I'm walking away my friend
My mind says no yet I hear you ask
Please, please just one more chance?
I must shut down the ears of my heart
How many chances do you really need?
The help is here, but not through your desires
The easy road ahead leads back to point one
Stop squandering your life on spirits of another
The steps of redemption lead through one door
I cannot hold your hand this time
Because you tend to start again
So for now I'm walking away my dear friend
In hopes you choose a better way.
