How often do you find yourself looking for another job? Are you being fired, and can't figure out the reason? How many times do you blame the management, your boss, sickness, or other outside influences? If you are being fired then look in the mirror. Chances will be about ninety percent of the time you are the reason you have gotten fired. Don't get me wrong, in these recession times many companies are laying off. Laying off is quite different than being fired.
Being fired means that one day you are there, and the next day you show up the boss sends you home. You leave, and start blaming everyone in the world for you being fired. The reasons are there and nine times out of ten the reasons are very valid thus leaving the boss with no other choice. These reasons lie within your control.
Here are some of those reasons. You: 1) are late to work or leave early often, 2) call in sick many times, 3) your duties are not preformed in a timely manner, 4) steal, lie and cheat the company, 5) decide that the job is meaningless, 6) forget to call in when you are sick, 7) show up to work looking like a homeless person, 8) treat customers hatefully, 9) disregard the thoughts and feelings of your fellow workers, 10) think the management is out to get you, and find yourself arguing with them frequently.
The boss has every right to fire you for any of these ten reasons. Ask yourself some questions: What do you want from a job? Are you willing to extend and expand yourself, and look deeply inside in search for truth? Sure, you may hate your boss, and he might be out to get you, but do you think he would have a leg to stand on if you made sure any of these ten reasons were not the cause?
No, he can't. I find it strange how many people move from one job to the next because of being fired. These people become clueless. They do not have any idea of why they were fired. The reasons are simple, and the answers are within you.
There are reasons that are legitimate and beyond anyone's control. 1) The company is closing its doors. 2) The management is downsizing. 3) The company has gone into bankruptcy. 4) Management has changed hands, and wants to change the work force.
More often than not the reason for being fired is within your own being. If you put your best foot forward in everything you do, even if you are making a hamburger, then all is well. No one will want to fire a good trustworthy, honest worker. Keep your head up, perform your best, show up on time, and make sure the customer is always right. Those are good values to have to keep you from being fired.
