Forever seems so far away. Its distance I cannot measure.
I walk the narrow plank of life searching for its pleasure.
I feel Your presence guiding me; faintly hear Your call for life.
I long to be home with You leaving this world and all its strife.
Surrounded by the lofty, souls masked with sweet deceit.
How ever will I love them? Past their actions I cannot see.
When You hear my cry do you hang your head in shame?
Or is Your Spirit saying, My child, do not waste your pain.
Lord, I know You love me and for that, I give my life
But my longing to be nearer to you is barricaded by time.
How unworthy are the selfish who cannot enjoy the gift You bring?
Unable to fulfill Your will; wasting rather than being?
How is it that a parent can feel so much like a child;
Longing to be held by You and be pleasing in Your sight?
I'll keep walking toward Your light, seeking Your grace each day,
Surrounding myself in Your presence, struggling to keep Your way.
Until I behold Your glory, until I meet you face to face
I'll turn my eyes to the heavens, my Lord, I will surrender in Your name.

Poetry: Waiting for you to return
by Abby Anne
I smell your scent all around me,
Drowning me in your familiarity.
I’m so glad to be here, safe in your arms
My head
You've gone away again
My elusive lonely friend
Stepping back into the shadows
Into the ether once again.
You've gone away again
by Lisa Putnam
Well read letters
so soft in my hands
display your words that you not able to express any other way
I read them over and over
I wait everyday, longing for you to return
Yearn for a sign that you have not left forever
Just a simple sign will fill me
by Jade Li
So Near So Far
I know you have work to do
But I can’t wait for the day
That you come home
And this time to stay.
Until
