A terrible void in the desolate night as the cold wind howls
Nagging pain in the pit of my belly as my stomach growls
The light of a once glorious day has lost its warmth and glow
Taste is a memory all sensory has been slow
Fragrant blooms bask in the sunlight unnoticed
Cracks in the side walk seem to frame my fist
Reaching for the phone and not knowing who to call
Deciding no one's worth it, so damn them all
Dampened pillow cases thrown about in the night
Squirm and writhe in my bed I can't get it right
Morning comes with eyes open lying there confused
Which direction takes me away from being accused
Not able to move, barely able to cry searching for the strength
It's just a trip into harsh circumstance, I will not suffer this at length
