Poetry: The tragedy of love

by SweetPo3d

Created on: September 30, 2009

Too broken to be disturbed

Too red to be blue.

Rebuilt but never noticed the change.

Underneath this designer mask,

what's true is true.

Love is a many splendor thing!

Who can tame it?

It has counted your weaknesses

drop by bloody drop.

Who's to say why love is so disdain

She's gotten the best of me for the last time.

Uneasy unrest

My restless sanctity becomes more surreal

with each dry heartbeat.

There's an attack on my instincts.

One more day away I just might shake it.

I'm laying in bed shaking-

sweating out bullets begging my itchy index

to pull that trigger.

Who figured John Lennon for a prophet?

All I need is love and a little civil unrest.

My chest has forgotten its main function is

to gaurd my heart.

This disease has taken charge of my brain.

My knees are pleading for me

I can't get no lower

The floor is pleading for me

Just leave us alone!

Prey on somebody else!

Play your game on somebody else!

Parade your shame around somebody else!

I'm bound to be vessel of pity,

her pit of despair

It's a tragedy that she let me love her in the first place

I gotta be the worst case she's found.
