"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admirations because of advantage." Jude 14,15,16.
We know that our God is no respecter of persons for "To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress" Proverbs 28:21. "And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?" Ezekiel 13:19.
It seems as though many Christians today have chosen to either disregard altogether or else regard too lightly the Word of God as handed down to us today through our forefathers, all of whom were as righteous a man of God as any who have come "since the Cross". This belief seems to be based on an assumption that the Word of God has only existed since the "written" Word came about with the introduction of Moses to the world scene. This thread is not inspired by a desire to add to nor take away anything from His Word. Rather, it is an effort to allow us to see what has always been there. This can only come about through a thorough study of the Old Testament which, of course, I cannot do in this introduction. But, think about it, the only two men we know of to have been translated without seeing death lived in OT times. How would this have been possible without the existence of the Promise of Salvation beforehand? How was it possible for any mortal man to come into the presence of a holy Father without sin atonement? Yet, it seems Enoch and Elijah were granted just that and they lived many centuries before Christ.
My faith is based on not only what His servants recorded in a book, it is based on what He spoke, no matter at what point in time He spoke It for I understand His Word to be everlasting. The evidence of what He spoke is recorded in the history of the Old Testaments authors and prophets. Jesus came not to destroy these sayings of His Father. The fulfillment of these prophesies and sayings is recorded in the New. All of It is inspired, I
