Yes it is very humane to deny Israeli settlers the right to occupy land that is not theirs and prevent them from butchering Palestinians and making a Middle Peace deal impossible to achieve.

Let us be clear, the Israeli settlers have a mediocre imperialist mindset similar to that of Dutch Settlers who colonised South Africa (Cape province) in the 17th century, who believed that the native tribes were "sub-human savages" and that they ALONE had a " indisputable" god given right to colonise and pillage land at the expense of the local inhabitants.

The very fact that the settler demands for owning the West Bank and Golan Heights are in a similar manner absolute and leave no room for compromise with Palestinians, shows their willingness to pursue their short sighted goals at all costs possible.

With a right wing Israeli government in power once again, this stance gets more reinforced day by day. These are the very people who helped elect Prime Minister Binyamin Nethanyahu and his Likud coalition government or lent their support to Shahs or any of the smaller ultra orthodox religious Jewish parties in order to scuttle Americans efforts at promoting a 2 State solution (that would require Israelis to stop settlement construction, evacuate existing settlements and renounce claims over the West Bank and Golan Heights - occupied since 1967-to Palestinians).

The Jewish settlers are very aware of the Naqba, this is what Palestinians until today call the "Great Catastrophy". It happened when masses of Jewish immigrants - many refugees from Nazi Germany or Poland shortly after World Word II arrived in Palestine and forcibly evicted Palestinians of their land.

The settlers in spite of the historical evidence in relation to that horrible event, still refuse to acknowledge the injustice they caused to Palestinians, and even worse they cry foul whenever a progressive American or centre left Israeli Administration tries to rectify the problem.

Israeli settlers are bigots and give Israel a bad name in the entire world. They claim they have an eternal right to land that is not theirs and are willing to kill for it, while Israeli's at large are the ones who are paying the price for this paranoia and living in a daily state of suicide attacks and insecurity.

Why are modern liberal thinking Israelis willing to tolerate this untenable situation that only evokes Palestinian millitant resistance and reinforces their legitimate grievances against Israeli's who are seen as nothing more
