Broken promises hurt, wound and contain a lie.
Meaning what you say, knowing what you meant.
Hearing what you said, missing out on time well spent.
Broken promises hurt, wound and contain a lie.
Trying to grow from them, wanting to give integrity a try.

Poetry: Broken promises
by Jenifer Rose
Sometimes it seems
I've spent most of my life
Hoping someone, somewhere
Would keep a single promise to me
They are made
When I said it, it was true, it stood out clearly proven by the shadows it cast on the path ahead of us,
As we walked I
There are times in your life
When even those you love
Should be struck down by vengeance
From the Heavens up above.
Don't
Promises made and broken,
Hopes raised and then dashed.
Sweet words have been spoken,
But My Darling, is this the time promises
Broken Promises
When the wind blows,
You give me a promise.
When the seagull crows,
You give me a promise.
When it's the light
