6/6/6 (or in the UK 5/6/6) the Bouncing Souls released their 6th album on Epitaph Records 'The Gold Record' and I can't think of a band that deserves to sell enough records to achieve a Gold a Record.
Some could argue it was one of there best, others might say it's one of there worse; personally I love this album.

The Bouncing Souls are:
Pete Steinkopf - Guitar and Vocals

Bryan Kienlen - Bass and Vocals
Greg Attonito - Vocals and Harmonica
Michael McDermott - Drums

With the Gold Record comes in a different sound, seems more and more there sounding less like a punk band and being influenced more by the likes of Bruce Springsteen.

-Tracks-
'The Gold Song' (3.16) opens up the album with the sounds of breaking glass, and the guitars and drums kick in. A sing along chorus "I heard someone say, that nothing gold can stay, but there's a love in all our soles and it shines like gold." Typical Bouncing Souls fashion to open up an album with a track that makes you want to listen to the rest. One of the best songs on the album. *

'So Jersey' (4.01) is a sing along tune that has a big sing along chorus with a dozen of the Souls friend sing along "We wanna say thanks to the music in our lives forgive ourselves for all the lies, send some love to all the lonely, don't forget we're all one family, thanks to the music in our lives for helping us to survive lost in one lonely dream born to run and live free" a big tribute track to Bruce Springsteen *

'Sounds of the City' (2.42) is the shortest track on the album paying tribute to there home New Jersey. Cool drumming and bass and guitar to open up. The song display there love for the city and the security from loneliness it provides "The sounds of the city somehow they comfort me on lonely mornings like these, this emptiness inside, the loneliness I feel, in this pain I'm not alone in this city that is my home" *

'The Pizza Song' (3.43) "If these walls could sing they'd sing us a hundred songs" is just the most damn catchy chorus I've ever heard. Pete substitutes his electric guitar for an acoustic giving the song a great laid back melody. The song tells the story of a pizza place "Tony's making slice pies for the lunch rush, he's stirring the sauce and pounding out the dough, his brother left town with his girl she ain't his girl no more" a major change of style for the Souls here *

'Sarah Saturday' (3.46) is weak track that gets a bit dull and could do to be a little bit shorter, chorus is good and I liked the guitar that open it though.
