Chocolate Pie
This is no ordinary chocolate pie. If you are looking for whip cream, or pudding fillings, move along, this pie, is not what you want. If you are looking for an absolutely incredible, melt in your mouth, real chocolate pie, this is for you! Chocoholics take heed, there's a new pie in town, and it's about to get a whole lot more yummy!
You can make this delicious Chocolate candy pie in many different variations. It is so easy! There will be the recipe below, and also some ideas for other variances you can make to the recipe, and get whole new flavors.
You will need a spring form pan, also referred to as a cheesecake pan. If you do not have one they are inexpensive, and can be picked up at Wal-Mart, Kmart, or any baking supply store. You can also you use pre-made store bought graham cracker crust shells. However, these do break apart easier and can crumble under the heavy ingredients. You will get better, more optimal product, when you make a sturdy graham cracker crust.
Chocolate candy pie
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Ingredients:
graham cracker crumbs; 3 cups
melted margarine or butter; cup
Granulated white sugar: cup
Milk chocolate morsels; 2 -12 ounce bags
Peanut butter baking chips; 1-12 ounce bag
Peanut butter m&m candy; 1- 8 ounce bag
Sweet and condensed milk 2- 14 ounce cans
Crust: grease spring- form pan with margarine or butter
Combine melted margarine or butter, sugar, and graham crackers. Press firmly over bottom and up along sides of spring form pan.
In separate bowl, combine the sweet and condensed milk, the chocolate chips, and the peanut butter chips.
Combine and mix up filling with spatula. Fill in prepared spring-form pan. Add peanut butter chips to top for color, flavor, texture, and decoration. Bake for 30 -35 minutes or until edges start to brown. You can test by slightly tilting pan. If center is loose, it is not ready. Center will have some movement, but should not be fluid.
Other great variances can be to substitute the peanut butter element, with white chocolate and to add some dried fruit and white chocolate.
Also try some dark chocolate, coconut, walnuts and caramel It is like making your own giant snickers bar.
Allow to set, Let cool for at least 3 hours. Remove from spring form pan.
It is beautiful pie! It tastes so gooey and comforting when warm, and also tastes awesome chilled. It is yummy any way you slice it, or serve it! I have made this unique candy pie for many people on their birthdays. It makes an impressive presentation, and they truly loved it.
