Being classy is not about being rich; sure a lot of the wealthy may be deemed as classy, though being classy comes from every social or economical background. A person who is classy is elegant, sophisticated and well presented. They tend to dress and look clean and smart, thus exuberating connotations with the wealthy. In this article I'll give you some tips on how to be classy without breaking the bank.
1. Fitted Garments
Wearing clothes that fit your body shop will make you look more sophisticated. Wearing baggy clothes hide your figure and does not look attractive, neither wearing tight form fitting clothing does. You can alter your clothes to make them fit yourself if they already do not or take them to a tailor, you may be able to get discounts if you bring a lot of items. When purchasing new clothes make sure that they fit you properly and flatter your figure. Also make sure that you know what you have in mind, don't make compromises, there are certainly great pieces for great prices if you have a rummage around in every nook and cranny in every store.
2. Pressed Clothing
Nothing exudes smartness and being well dressed as clothes that are properly pressed. You do not need to take your clothing to the dry cleaners to copy this look; you can do it at home. All you need is starch spray. Spray it onto clothes directly and then iron, this gives your clothes a crisp, elegant look and feel. Make sure that your trousers have front creases for that more refined classiness. Make sure that your shirts, sweaters and jumpers are also properly pressed with appropriate creases, such as in the arms.
3. Clothing
Anyone can be classy at any age, that's the beauty of classiness. It is a timeless wardrobe, a classic wardrobe. You can match all your clothes to each other. However you do need to dress appropriately for your age.
Females should wear clothing such as slim fitting oxford shirts, polo shirts, sweaters, cardigans, cable knit sweaters slacks, skirts and suits. For shoes, they should always be of top quality and look their best. You do not have to spend a fortune on shoes, but a good quality pair of shoes should suffice, these can be items such as classic pumps, moccasins, loafers, brogues and heels.
Accessories should be kept to a minimum, a watch is great. For females, do not wear big accessories, though match the accessories you do wear with the outfit to bring it together, pearls are a great piece and never go out of fashion.
