The barren wastelands of our minds
populated by the poetry in our souls
we all are without sanity when looked at from anothers perspective
sanity is only found by normality in others
what we choose to become to transcend the norm and become enlightened
although this makes us crazy are we really
our souls no longer seek the solace found in hiding within the group
our spirits burn bright enough to burn those who forsake change
yet we are the ones without sanity
we must forego change or risk the wrath of the mob
to better our minds means to risk our sanity
but who is truly sane those of us with the strength to break free
or those that dwell in the mindset that there is nothing that can be changed
we who seek the betterment of life
we who have broken our bonds and know that there is infinite possibilities
yet so few strive to experience them

Poetry: Sanity
by Tom Mcmurray
Banished as we are from God
We are the sacerdotal lepers
Of the moon who feed upon
The universal majesty of star-dust
You
"To Find Myself"
I'm the lost reflection of you
Yes, I'm the sinner and beggar too
Too far gone to be saved now
Long gone lost
Dear Sanity, you are my only friend
But why do you disappear and then come back again?
Do you not realize how much I need
No one will be the wiser,
if their involvement is not known.
incompetency is the issue,
until you have no tone.
if recognition
Congratulations!
You made it through another day,
and the little white men didn't take you away
in their padded wagon
to a place
