Christianity and today's lifestyles

Christianity, Patriotism, and The Future

Today, my writings are as a Christian Patriot. First, as a Christian who believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as did a majority of our brave and courageous Founding Fathers. Secondly, as a Patriot whose past relation traveled on the Mayflower, landed on Plymouth Rock, and signed the Mayflower Compact. To young and old alike, I must speak about the foundation on which our country was built. In a manner of speaking, the pilgrims creation of the Mayflower Compact should be considered as an early form of the Constitution of the United States. In fact, I would like to include it in my writing. So, I would ask that you examine it closely because it demonstrates that Christianity and Patriotism are inseparable.

In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread sovereign Lord, King James, by the grace of God, of England, Ireland, France, king defender of the faith, etc. Having undertaken for the glory of God, and the advancement of the Christian faith, and the honor of our king and country. A voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia, do by these present, solemnly and mutually in the presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together in a civil body politick; for our better ordering and preservation and the ends aforesaid, and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts , constitutions and offices from time to time, as shall be though most right and convenient for the general good of the colony, In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod, the eleventh of November, in the reign of our Sovereign Lord, King James of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland, the fifty-fourth. Anno Domini-1620

These men did not separate their faith from their form of government. This is "the" most important element of the foundation of our country-our Christian faith. This means belief in God the Father, and accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The truth of the Gospel is what we must adhere to as did our founding fathers.

Oh, how I wish I could write enthusiastically about taking back our country, but, in my heart of hearts, I have a wealth of mixed emotions. On the one hand, I stand with all Americans seeing the necessity of waking from our and my apathy, and getting involved to take back our country's government. On the other hand, the scales have fallen from my eyes and I can see that there has been a dark cloud growing over the United States for the past fifty years. That dark cloud is the removal of God and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior from the very fabric of our nation. So, should we be surprised at the moral breakdown of our country? Are we not reaping what we've sown?

I'm not here to condemn, but to call our nation to national repentance. I sincerely believe that we should not expect to be able to take back America unless we repent as a Christian Nation. This means turning from, exposing, and disposing of the moral rot that has infiltrated and permeated our culture and our personal lives. We can't say in one breath, "We must take back America," then in the next breath say, " I can live my life the way I want." and not submit to the teachings of Jesus and the Bible/

Again, I'm not here to condemn, but it is imperative that we personally and nationally repent of our sins. If not, we will be spinning our wheels and our country's progress will be limited and/or none at all. God's word even states, "Apart from me, you can do nothing." Also, God said to Solomon in Second Chronicles 7:14, If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear their land." So this is a serious message for an extremely serious time in the history of the United States of America. I have written to you as God, the Father, and Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, would have me write to you in truth and love.
