Dead movie stars you miss

This may sound odd, but when a celebrity passes away, I actually have a family member who has a frame called the dead people frame, and they place the picture of the most recent dead celebrity in there, to pay homage to them. It is kind of weird, but also kind of sweet. It is always respectful and tasteful, and definitely a conversation piece. We do love our movie stars in America.

True Hollywood legends can be long gone but never forgotten. Their work will live on forever! Here is a list of the dead movie stars that I miss the most.

Jack Lemmon, Marlon Brando, Charlton Heston, Anne Bancroft, Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda,Paul Newman, Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Ingrid Bergman, Humphrey Bogart, Judy Garland, Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Vivien Leigh, Teresa Wright, Marilyn Monroe, Rosemary Clooney.

These movie stars have lit up the screens for years and have given time tested, award- winning performances. For generations their movies have delighted and entertained millions. Gary Cooper and Teresa Wright, performed brilliantly in Pride of the Yankees, in 1942, which is one of my all time favorites. Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, and Rosemary Clooney, were all in White Christmas. To this day, it is my all time favorite Christmas movie.

Another favorite of mine and millions others; Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Berman in Casablanca, also made in 1942. Nothing tops the Wizard of Oz, staring Judy Garland. Garland was so gifted, and made so many great movies, however, to me, this will always be her most memorable performance.

Jimmy Stewart made so many memorable films, but his performance in the 1942 film, It's a Wonderful Life, is definitely one of his most popular movies! Jack Lemmon was a comedic genius, and his timing is impeccable. For years he gave us memorable moments in movies like Some Like It Hot, with Marilyn Monroe, or one of my favorites, The Out of Towners, in 1970, with Sandy Baron.

Hume Cronyn and his wife Jessica Tandy had great careers on their own, but when they made Cocoon, in 1985, and Batteries Not Included, in 1987, they were so sweet together! I also miss Lucille Ball, and Desi, Ethel, and Fred too. They were famous in television, but, also all had film careers.

Some of my favorite movie stars cut down in their prime; Farrah Fawcett , Bernie Mac, John Belushi, John Candy, Natalie Wood, John Ritter, and most recently, Patrick Swayze. Farrah Fawcett started off doing commercials and television, but had proven herself a top notch actress in movies like the Burning Bed, in 1984, and Extremities in 1986. Bernie Mac was cut down in his prime but leaves a legacy of funny movies like, Life, 1999, and Soul Men, 2008. John Candy made us all laugh in Family Vacation, Stripes, and one of my favorites, the 1987 movie; Trains, Planes and Automobiles. John Candy was laugh out loud funny! As for Natalie Wood, she will forever be Maria, in the mega 1961 mega hit, West Side Story.

I will forever miss these fine actors and actresses. I am so glad that they can still take me to far away places, move me, and still make me laugh and cry!
