Is Jesus God, man, or both?

Jesus was born both human(earthly mother) and divine(Holy Spirit as father). Most, strive toward an attempt at making Jesus an eternal being. But I most indignantly refute this claim although not to disrupt the reality of his divinity but to prove the necessity of His humanity. The Gospel according to Matthew, chapter number one and verse number eighteen clearly states that Jesus was born. I would submit that a birth of anykind should negate any notion of an eternal son. But let's go further. The Gospel according to Luke give us a few insights into the matter. In chapter three of this book Jesus comes to John the baptist for baptism( a ritual God need not participate) to fulfill all righteousness. First, God is perfect and has planned the end from the beginning therefore there is nothing for him to prove. Nothing can be added to His divinity. The Old Testament gives a clear description of our God being one and this furhter displayed by His decleration to us through the scriptures that this was His beloved "son" in whom He was well pleased. After this Jesus goes to the wilderness to be tempted forty days of the devil. This is another point of interest considering James tells us in his book that God cannot be tempted with evil. The bible also tells us that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature to where God is Himself all knowing. This is not to discourage your belief in a divine Christ. On the contrary. The virgin birth of Jesus Christ was predesigned on behalf of our sin debt. The death of a human sacrifice is what gives you and I the oppurtunity to be saved. With the human nature of his mother and the divine nature of his father, he bore that cross on calvary's hill. But God cannot die and the human nature must die. While upon the cross staring at faces he came to save, the spirit of the father departs the Christ and he asks " Why has thou forsaken me?" soon after this he dies. If God died the entire planet would cease to exist. Christ died and arose in order to assure our position in the redemption plan. The same spirit thatleft Jesus' body reentered enabling him to rise. With the human nature gone ther was nothing but God controlling that body. At this point He appears to his disciples and tells them that all power is given unto Him in heaven and in earth. Peter tells us that God has made Him both Lord and Christ. This is why we must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. He was given a name above every name and that name is Lord. God's name is the Lord Jesus Christ.
