Created on: September 28, 2009
Upon this solemn hour, cocooned within these dark walls,
Lay all the answers time has forgotten to tell.
From the yellowed pages of memories, she calls.
Whispers lost within eternity's chiming bell:
Unknowing we carry on ignoring her toll,
And continue uneducated by the past.
As arrogance fills the growing vacuous hole,
We pin our ignorance to humanity's mast.
With unsteady sail we chart upon the false star
Unwilling to change course to find a better way:
Deaf to all of the answers echoed from afar.
Oblivious to all time is trying to say.
We trudge alone, encased within our mortal shells,
Shadowed answers lighting the way out of our hells.

I saw you today.
You didn't see me.
Oh, you looked in my direction,
But perhaps I wasn't there.
I walked up until I touched
Death seldom plays fair.
It catches us unaware.
Death is a trickster.
It behaves like a pollster
who skews results
for all
There are those who will never be aware of all that is around them.
