Reckless Driving
Why?!
When I wanted to learn how to drive at first the images that popped on my head of good drivers were Racers, Test Drivers, and Auto Cross people. That was my VISION! And those were my ROLE MODELS in driving. I believed they handled the car wonderfully. I thought it's COOL to do it and that I'll look bold and confident if I did so.
Now I am not trying to say that those people are not cool or are wrong, cause I still believe they are (H). What I am trying to say is Racing, test driving or auto crossing have their places, and normal people going to work have theirs! I think we should teach our children that before we teach them how to drive.
Every driver has to realize that he is not alone on the street and his responsibility does not end by the edges of his car! We are not responsible only for ourselves when we drive. We are responsible for the lives of people driving by as well as for those who cross the streets!
Driving can be and is fun! But it comes with responsibilities as well. We have to realize that. We have to realize that our mistakes cost lives beside ours. You can be rich and don't care if your car got broken but others may consider their car as their most valuable positions. Their car may be a gift from a dear person.
When we understand this we will normally be more careful in our driving and less drunk as well! Obeying the law is not old fashioned, obeying the law is one of the most important characteristics of a respectable and civilized nation. Rules and NOT made to be broken, rules are made to make YOUR life safer and better. Those who put them were as HUMAN as you are!
I believe that defining a problem is half way solving it. So realizing that we have one and that we should accept the fact that it exist and should be solved is a huge step!
You don't have to put your hand in the fire in order to believe it burns! And I don't have to cost someone his life or lose yours in order to realize that you have responsibilities as a driver and that you should be more careful! We have enough proof of that.
