The Birth of Demons from Self Righteous Hypocrisy and the Death of Cause and Effect

I had a friend once that said he had flown outside of his body. He claimed he was able to leave his body and travel other worlds in the form of a spirit, perhaps as an embodiment of his own soul. He would fly around what seemed to be an ethereal environment, like floating in space or high up in the atmosphere somewhere. Perhaps there is an astral pane of existence where people fly around and meet other spirits, that's why they call it astral traveling I guess. Just about as believable as moving shit with your mind. Anyways...he was close to a religious fanatic in many ways. The point of my story was that he had seen the face of he called true evil, and had looked straight into its eyes. In this fantasy world he would do battle with evil spirits and vanquish them in what he considered a spiritual war. I have the feeling that this is the sort of things many Christians fantasize about. Very much so like the movie Constantine, I loved that flick. However, this is the true grit of religious fanaticism. It gives people the feeling of moral superiority over others without so much a second look into who people really are and why they act the way they do. It becomes a black and white world devoid of any color, the emotional doldrums of a pharmaceutically "enhanced" world where people aren't allowed to feel or think any other way. This is a world where admitting one's wrong doings is like slitting one's wrists and jumping into a pool of sharks. This is exactly the kind of fanatical world that will give birth to true demons. A humanoid with no hope of redemption and no second thoughts about what they could have been. These demons will be birthed into the world by the scorching and unrelenting fires of society's self righteous hypocrisy, fanned by the very heroes and saints that everyone worships. These demons will show no remorse. In fact, they will thrive on the pain and misery left behind in the wake of their destruction. They will not be merciful, for they were never shown mercy. They will not show love to those who never loved them. They will feel neither empathy nor sympathy nor have any kind thought towards anyone. These demons will only know the glee they get from appeasing the bloodlust and rage that gave birth to them.

However, when your view of the world as an outcast isn't controlled by pharmaceuticals or the talking heads on TV, you might begin to wonder who the real demons
