The holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, Valentines Day and lots more. How do we entertain kids during these long and joyous occasions on there breaks from school. Lets see.

On all holidays, baking is a fun way to entertain everyone in the family, especially the kids. You can bake cakes, cookies and for the Thanksgiving and Christmas times, nice turkeys. Baking is fun, you can be creative and make a Christmas cake along with matching cookies or as my mother makes, pretzels dipped in melted vanilla, I can smell it already. Bottom line, baking is very entertaining for kids and a great way to introduce them to new things.

Another way to entertain kids during holidays is decorating. I know that during Christmas and Halloween, one of my favorite things to do was decorate. Decorating the Christmas tree, making it pretty... that was always so fun to do! But. my favorite part about that is I got to spend time with my brother. Then decorating for Halloween, making your yard the scariest in the neighborhood. Decorating for any holidays is a great way to allow your kids to be creative.

Another way to entertain kids during the holidays is to visit relatives. We all love to visit relatives, especially during Christmas and Thanksgiving. Maybe your seeing family you haven't seen in a while, either way, its fun for the whole family. It even allows kids to decorate or bake with there other family like there cousins. I used to go to my grandma's house for Christmas, I got to see my cousin's and it was always fun opening presents together, plus, my grandma's turkey!

Another great way to entertain kids during the holidays, is by having parties. It could be a little slumber party with there friends, where they get to sing Christmas carols together, or a party for you, introducing some of your work buddies and there kids to your family. Its a great way to entertain kids and fun for everybody. You can have them help out with the shopping for the party, or the decorating. You can have them entertain some of the party goers if they have a talent, like singing or playing an instrument to a nice holiday song.

A great way to entertain kids during the holidays is to sit down and relax and watch those fun holiday movies! Everybody love to watch scary movies on during Halloween or Christmas movies. One tradition is my family is to watch the movie, A Christmas Story, every year. This movie was my mother's favorite movie, it was fun to sit down every Christmas and watch it,
