I can not believe this woman! She believes banning spanking is the right thing to do. I'll admit spanking can become a little excessive. I, by no means, believe you should beat a child for any reason. As children me and my two sisters were spanked, I believe everyone of my friends was spanked as well. We all turned out just fine. We learned from our mistakes, and didn't grow up to become crazy psychopathic killers. We were spanked only when we were in seriously trouble, and only after our parents calmed down a bit. I don't believe some women in California has the right to say a parent cannot spank their children. Here in Colorado the law states you can't leave a mark that last more than 15 minutes. Which I think is fair. I don't believe I ever had a mark that lasted more than 15 seconds. I have no plans to spank my daughter when she is old enough to cause trouble, but I don't believe some woman should take that right away from a parent. I am sorry, but some children need a spanking to understand that they were wrong. I was one of them. My mom could send me to my room to think about what I had done, but that was a free nap time for me. My dad would spank me when I was bad, and let me tell you, I never did that again! Sometimes spanking is the only option. If this woman bans it, we will have bad kids running around. They will grow up to be the psychopathic killers, because they weren't spanked to see right from wrong. Good luck dealing with them California!
