Hands up, who's been to a Time Management class.
Well guess what, if you're one of the lucky millions that has lost their job or had hours cut because of the recession you now have plenty of time to manage. You now have an excessive work - home balance, if not all home, but I am sure you're working on the work portion, maybe just when your filling out your weekly unemployment!
Whilst everyone at the White House, spends their days and nights trying to rally the rest of the country into their new age beliefs by hitting every town hall between Washington and LA, I am sure they will start to wonder where all the folks are when less and less are attending their rah rah sessions. Possibly managing their time to include managing, fuel, food, housing, clothing, schooling, electrical, gas, water, doctors and all the other bills in between that are still rolling in and payable immediately, no matter what their financial situation. But hey we should have health care sometime soon, so we will all feel better about our situation (see how that works), but of course regulated by the government, just as they start rolling out the next government regulated system, wait that happened already a long time ago, which would be our great schooling system, and isn't that being cut! cut! cut! all over the country.
Hmmm! Are we really in the 21st century or are we all dreaming.
When President Obama wakes up, well if he ever goes to sleep that is. Do you think his first words are. 'Michelle, girls. I want to be totally transparent today and ensure that we are all accountable whilst having breakfast?' No? Maybe? What do you think Michelle's response would be? It is crazy when we can make fun of our President or say absolutely anything you want, this seems to be a practised norm. What would we do without the 'Freedom of Speech?'
Oops! my apologies I guess the topic is the Advantage of a recession. Well as long as we as a population are not getting sick, which may be a little difficult considering that the country stress levels can be felt on Mars. I am sure we can all just learn to calm down and deserve that well earned year or two break, as we all get thinner because who can afford to eat, and once we can eat, the cows should be safe, cause our teeth should have decayed sufficiently to not involve eating anything tougher than rice.
One serious benefit will be that we can start enjoying the sunshine and blue skies more, as the smog starts to disperse because of less cars on the road, because lets face it who is going to work anymore. I think we should all just work from home, because we do more there nowadays than anywhere else.
Enjoy.
