On the Verge
There is amazing beauty here
This way I've walked times uncounted
And yet, I have not noticed 'til today
I hear the wind as it persuades the trees
To sing in quiet whispers against the sky
Calling birds to join their dance
I see once rushing water frozen in time, blanketed by snow
It entices me, even as it dissolves from the shore
Like dreams from a waking mind
It is cold, but the sun warms my face
Alone but not lonely I stand
Wondering if the beckoning lake will hold me
Were I to walk its surface
would I feel the awesome power beneath my feet
Stand strong to soar with the freedom of angels
and know no earthly bounds
Or would it crumble, fissures spreading
Fingers of ice to grasp at me, to drag me under
Enveloped in the coldness of my fears
And I wonder, Do I risk the unknown and dare to live
Or stand on the edge of my relative safety
While seagulls circle, graceful wings of scavengers
A contradiction within myself

Don't want to go to work-
Much to write, read, become.
A heart to soak, cleanse, rinse, repeat.
Silence except sounds of nature.
Peace
I Might Have Been
Help me! Help!
I'm stuck I am so stuck!
Black inertia has been the bane
- it has been THE enemy -
hello, are you there?
still hoping though im constantly aware
you never could understand
the reason for my indecision
