Golden Hearts Juice Bar is another variation of Diner Dash type of game. It is published by Playfirst and Iwin. The main purpose of the game is to make smoothies and juices according to the customers' requests, serve them, and collect the money. As the game progresses, you will have a waiter to help you serve the drinks in later level.
You need to make and serve the drinks your customers order before they wait too long and leave. You need to collect certain amount of money for each level. There are two targets for each level, master and expert targets. You need to reach the master target to pass the level. There are fifty six levels divided to four locations. You can replay the levels you've played to gain higher scores.
The gameplay is simple, using only the mouse to point and click. But you need quite a precision to click the right ingredients. At higher levels, you need to be able to organize and pay attention to which customer is more patient than others.
This is one of my favorite games. From the beginning, the levels are challenging and fun enough but not too hard for beginners. The later level is quite challenging but still fun and I've finished it several times. You need speed, precision, and management to be able to gain higher scores. I have fun replaying the levels after I finish the games. I have play this games for several months and I haven't felt bored yet.
The drawback to this game is its highly feminine background. The main screen is pink and the main character is a pretty blonde girl. The storyline is very minimal and is female oriented too. I sometimes get annoyed by the background music because it is too repetitive. It has same background music for fifty six levels.
Despite the drawbacks, the game plays smoothly in my laptop without ever having a problem. It loads quickly and never slows my laptop. It has a tutorial section to teach you how to play the game with pictures, making it easy to understand. The gameplay is also straightforward. I highly recommend this game to people who likes to play serving kind of games akin to Diner Dash.
Do buy the game if:
- you like Diner Dash type of games.
- you like simple, yet challenging games which need speed and precision.
- you want to be able to replay the game over and over again without getting bored.
Don't buy the game if:
- you want more complicated gameplay.
- you dislike highly feminine graphics and storyline.
- you want more back story to the game.
