"Let's just be friends"
Right when we were ending,
you said "Let's just be friends".
I replied "Then friends are all we'll be".
Now two weeks past that statement
you're standing at my door
requesting that special part of me.
Don't you know that you confuse me
when you beg to use me?
And when we're done, I hope that you will stay.
But as you get your clothing
I start the cycle of self loathing
and regret....for just another lay.
I must respectfully decline
for you're no longer mine.
I must save myself and bring this to an end.
I'm at no one's convenience
and yes......I truly mean it.
Not like you, who said "Let's just be friends".
