Too deep.
Not deep enough.
Make me see the white.
Make me see the pool.
The red. The red that
bubbles and sits then runs.
Is it too deep?
I can't feel it.
It knows no pain.
I need the sharp, the slit, the red and hurt.
It's not deep enough.
The skin relaxes, it grows
farther and farther from its partner.
I lay covered in the sweet deep sorrow.
The red cleanses my emotion, releases my hurt.
It's not deep enough. I can't feel.
Slice and scrape until there's nothing left.
A tired tear slithers down.
It's too deep.
