The Book of Shadows.
The Book of Shadows is a personal record containing rituals, spells, and other magical information, and can belong to either an individual or coven. The Book of Shadows is a record of personal thoughts, feelings and experiences of the individual or coven; similar to a diary.
It is compiled as you learn and understand the environment around you, adding daily, the things you have discovered or understood.
It is like a log of everything you have experienced in your life but which are connected, interrelated, with everything else you have recorded. The book becomes the facsimile of your life's experiences, which can be referred to by the written word.
For over thirty years I searched for the meaning of life, and in doing so I explored all sciences, religions and histories; the truth and meaning of life became the ultimate quest in my life and I followed all avenues and paths which eventually led me to the greatest understanding ever realised by a man.
Every day I call upon the spirits of the universe, to assist me in my daily life, and the results are never lacking. Yet I am not a witch, wizard or wiccan, I am a man who has solved the secret of the universe.
The secret of calling upon the spirits is for personal gain, but this does not imply such things has having your rating on Helium higher than it should be or by profiting at the expense of others, it involves a more important order, the order of life and of living, whereby, you profit to exist.
I will not reveal this secret to you because you are not of my belief; I believe in a one true God, he who created the universe and all things. But you follow a religion and the words and instructions of men long dead. So how could you comprehend the ability to command the spirits and demons that exist around us?
You are earth based and your belief is earth based; I am both physical and spiritual, and one with the universe, one with all things present, past and future.
But as an example I will reveal part of one of my spells to you;
I call upon you, the God of creation and the spirits who serve you.
I call upon you, the secrets of night, of day and of the universe.
I call upon you the ancient power to provide for me the things I demand.
I command you in the name of the living and eternal god.
(This is followed by my want or desire and I reveal it to the spirits of the Universe.)
I ? Command you.
This Book of Shadows reveals many things to mankind and is more or less a facsimile of a far greater truth; it is basically a collection of writings regarding or related to Neo-Paganism.
Any religious society or person would shy away from this other 'form of religion,' because it is a form of religion which encompasses both white and black magic, or if you prefer, a supernatural doctrine which causes things to happen. As I have said; I employ it every day in order to exist, to make my life that little bit more relaxed; relaxed by using the forces to alleviate modern day pressures such as debts and everyday requirements. As an example, I have not had to pay for the repairs of my car for over five years, nor have I paid for the official certificate which allows me to drive on the roads of Britain; but I am legal.
In my own Book of Shadows, I hold the secret to a world far beyond your wildest dreams, and although it does not allow me to reap vast fortunes it allows me to survive.
I do know that if I change the way I call upon the spirits of the universe, then their demands upon me will change, and I will be required to pay, to forfeit, to lose, and to become subject to their demands. True, I would like to be a millionaire, but what would be the price that I would be required to pay, or what would others need to lose in order for me to attain that which I requested?
And could I live with it?
This Book of Shadows is not a fairytale, it is not a figment of someone's imagination; it is an actual manual, basically of 'How to Obtain Anything.'
The original 'Gardnerian Book of Shadows,' contains the sacred text of the Wiccan religion, but there is no actual 'Book of Shadows.' Many times these books are handwritten in code so that only members of the coven can decipher them. Yet all books show the influences from English and Celtic Folk-law, and they usually contain additional material from the Enochian system of John Dee, and other Satanic works such as Thelema, the Golden Dawn, and Stregaria; influence from Tantric Yoga, and also the King James Version of the Holy Bible are also evident.
Yet the versions of the book today are based more on modern understandings which accommodate the 'modern man' but they were probably, originally compiled from other material, for example from the teachings of the Kabala and other mystical teachings. I suppose you could say that the Book of Shadows is a modern day translation of a more ancient understanding.
Because it is a modern translation, one which accommodates modern man, then the spells and knowledge have changed to conform to present society, but the power is just as great, sometimes it is greater because the rewards are greater. But these demands which we put on the spirits are required to be paid for, depending upon the degree of 'desire' we have; the more you want, the more you will repay.
Wicca, or white witchcraft perform a gentler form of supernatural command than the Black magic circles, and they are involved mainly with the good for man. Black magic circles are more selfishly orientated where the gain is for themselves personally. White magic normally involves (for want of a better word) angels, who work towards the good for man, but with black magic they invoke (for want of a better word) demons to fulfil their desires. By the description of the entities described you should realise that 'angels' are for good, while 'demons' are for bad and that while one can be tolerated the other should be feared.
If you wish to compose your own 'Book of Shadows,' then you must choose whether you will call upon angels or demons; there are many sites on the internet that give reference to the 'Book of Shadows' and the content for your own book can easily be composed. To begin with you need to establish the power (black or white) and from the information you discover compile your spells and identify your incarnations. Then you need to relate (in writing) all you have discovered and to compile it in a way where it reads like an instruction book. Once you have written your spells and compiled your knowledge, then the fun or the dread will begin.
The spirits of the universe exist all around us, every second of every day, and they are here to help or hinder us, as we desire. Although some may seem to profit more from the experience and though it may seem that they pay very little, eventually the bill must be paid, and an accounting of all that has gone before will be calculated. In order to survive never ask for too much and always pay the price you are asked.
Yet if you wish to understand the Book of Shadows, then you will need to go far back into history, to the very creation of the universe and all things, because that is where the truth can be found; the real truth to the real 'Book of Shadows,' and the secrets of the universe.
A clue to the secret; in the book of Genesis God created the man and put ALL things under his dominion; the secret is to know 'how to command them.'
Today I was given a used but otherwise adequate paint roller; a chocolate bar; and 25 pounds; something similar will happen tomorrow and indefinitely while I am around people. The power I call upon is the power of the universe; all things are connected and related to the universe and since I am a part of the universe all things are connected to me.
And what do I repay?

Love for all things physical and spiritual; a love for everything, because I am a part of everything.
