I stare at the gun
It's singular eye stares back at me
Daring to spin the wheel
Take a chance?
On a new and better life...
...or a different sort of hell
Can I find the hope
To put the pistol down
To seek another dawn, another day
Can my bitterness be erased?
My Rage sated
My pain silenced, forever.
