Rape is an act of violence, humiliation, and rage, pure and simple! I can not imagine what kind of behavior would prompt this crime. As a strong willed woman with an attitude, I have yet to incited this response out of anyone, thank God! It astounds me that this is even a debate! Seriously, I have to keep checking the title to even believe it!

If you have been a victim of rape, it is NOT your fault! The fault lies with the sick animal that committed the crime. That being said, I implore any victim of sexual assault to seek counseling as soon as possible. And if the perpetrator of this crime is caught, please do yourself and every other woman on earth a favor and testify against him. It may be the only way that you can get a sense of closure. The world is a hard enough place without this scourge on humanity.

We can all be grateful to advances in technology in the arena of solving crimes. Because life is just insane enough for there to be people who make false allegations, as well. In the human scheme of things, we do have good men in the world who don't need that mess, and who don't deserve it. And yet, it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. Just look at Super bowl quarterback Ben Rothlesberger. I find it very hard to believe that this is about rape and not money. In fact, I don't believe that this young woman was raped at all. Even though many rape victims wait to report this crime, if at all, she let plenty of time roll past. And only when confronted with the greed allegation did she make it a priority to donate to rape crisis charities.

It is irresponsible people like her who make it so frightening for the real victims. And the concept that rape is a female only victim populace, honestly how many men report this abomination occurring to them? Very,very few. We're all pretty damn sure that they don't ask for it! So, what would make anyone think that females are irresponsible enough to bring this upon themselves? It simply doesn't make sense.

Even with the advances in DNA and all other analysis, we still have to be very careful not to take this subject lightly. In some cases, this very act can be much more heinous than murder. Just ask a survivor.
