I knew that girl.
She lived down the road.
She was a quiet girl.
She was always at home.
That girl never smiled.
That girl never spoke.
Everyone always made her
The butt of their jokes.
Why? Cause she never talked.
She always seemed distant.
She isolated herself.
The loner persona was persistent.
So people didn't care
Because she didn't either
She could have spoken up or fought
But she did neither
When she wasn't at school
No one even cared
After a few weeks
Teachers began to get scared
They called home and wrote
Without a return or a sign
That she was okay
Or even alive
So some students took the liberty
And took a trip to see
If everything was okay
And how it should be
When they arrived to the house
The door was open already
So they walked in and looked around
The air felt heavy
What they saw was a shock
And scarred them for life
There were two dead kids
And a husband and wife
Lying cold on floor
There was blood everywhere
All they could do was scream
Until the police got there
As the story turns out
The husband was crazy
And he beat up his kids
And his old lady
The girl never talked
For fear that she would say
Something about her dad
And she didn't want to pay
So she kept to herself
Because she couldn't make friends
They would all found out
And her life would end
One night her dad
Drunk and upset
Waited for his family
Who wasn't home yet
When they arrived
He had a knife in his hand
When he stabbed his wife
Both the children ran
He caught them both
And stabbed them too
First the son, then the girl
Until they were through
After they were dead
He sat and stared
And his daughter's last breath
Was "no one will care."
He sat for hours
Becoming more sober
He saw what he did
And he knew life was over
He took his life then
And died without a sound
And they lay there dead
On the cold hard ground
This is a story
That is real and true
I was one of the students
I found them dead too
Everyone is sorry
And they feel bad
They judged that poor girl
Who was murdered by her dad
She was not different
And nobody cared
And she's right, she died how she thought she would
Lonely and scared
Talk to that person
Who you think is weird
They're not as different as you or I
There's nothing to fear
Because if you be the change
And ignore all the hype
About being popular
You could change someone's life
If someone had just talked to her
She may have spoken about her home
And this could have been pervented
And she wouldn't have been alone
So yes, I knew that girl
But I never got to know her
I wish I did with all my heart
Cause then I could have shown her
That if you need someone to lean on
You'll have a friend there
But she's dead and gone now
Because no one cared.

That girl
A racing heart goosebumps chill
Thoughts of her a total thrill
Daydreams spent all day
Cool things I'm afraid to say

I saw a woman standing right in front of me..
She looks pale and sick..
She looks sad and ill..
She closes her eyes long..
I'm not the average girl,
Probably not what you’d expect.
Sometimes I’m looked on as weird,
But mostly I’m
